The Soft Life: Embracing Grace and Joy as a Christian Woman

As women, we often find ourselves constantly striving for perfection and constantly putting pressure on ourselves to do more, be more, and have it all together. However, as women who have been redeemed by God, we have the gift of grace and the call to live a life filled with joy and peace.

Living the "soft life" means choosing to let go of societal expectations and perfectionism, and instead embracing the love and grace that comes through a relationship with Jesus. It means recognizing that we don't have to have it all together and that it's okay to lean on our faith and the support of others. It's ok to seek help from family, friends, mentors, and teachers whether in business, academics, or relationships even in the little things.

This way of living allows us to live in the present moment and enjoy all that life has to offer. It also helps us prioritize self-care and cultivate inner peace. Taking time for ourselves and our faith helps us to recharge and better serve those around us. Go on dates with friends, enjoy a good Saturday morning stroll, fellowship with other believers, join support groups if possible and see a movie with loved ones.

Living the soft life also means being intentional about surrounding ourselves with positive influences and cutting out toxic relationships and situations. It is ok to cut off friendships that are not aligning with your walk in life, not being friends doesn't mean enmity. As Christian women, we have the opportunity to uplift and support one another, creating a community of love and acceptance.

In a world that can be harsh and unforgiving, embracing the soft life as a Christian woman is a choice to live a life filled with grace, joy, and peace. So, let us choose to let go of the expectations and embrace the life God has planned for us.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

Remember that we are loved and cherished just as we are, a price was paid for our redemption, and it's through our faith in Jesus Christ that we can truly experience the joy and peace that comes from living a soft life.
